The Alchemy Mindworks-developed e-Paint puts image manipulation functionality at your disposal. Or to put it in other words, this is a tool that can be used to edit existing images or create new images. The very nice thing about e-Paint is that it is quite easy to use. You will quickly figure out the interface and you won’t have any problems to create and edit images.

At the time of writing thins, the Windows editions that e-Paint supports are Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Download an installer, run it, and a setup wizard will show up and will help you install e-Paint on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions.

When you run e-Paint for the first time, you will be presented with a Welcome wizard that will help you configure e-Paint’s most common settings. And more to the point, you will be presented with a wizard that will guide you through the following steps: pick a theme for the interface, set the hierarchical filter menu, enable the option to auto-adjust task windows, choose if you want the tool box to be a single or double column box, choose if you want to view a splash screen, choose if you want to see the tip of the day, choose if you want to create backups.

You can access the Welcome wizard and anything you want from the Help menu.

Here is a quick look at the main editing options that e-Paint has to offer: convert image to greyscale, paletted, mono; apply an effect (multiple effects are available; these effects are grouped in categories such as artistic, photographic, and blur); easily access several tools (magic wand selector, eraser, airbrush, text, and more); multiple image formats are supported for the Save As function.

Alchemy Mindworks created a user friendly tool that has great image editing functionality to offer. That tool is e-Paint.

Pros

To get e-Paint up and running on a Windows PC you will have to go through a standard installation process. A Welcome wizard will help you go through the initial configuration. Extensive documentation and tutorials are available. E-Paint puts useful image editing functionality at your fingertips.

Cons

Trial limitations: 10-day trial, nag screen, audio notification when you exit e-Paint.
